William Keith Eble was born in Neptune, New Jersey in 1954. He graduated with a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1976 and a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1979.
Mr. Eble was admitted to the bar in Florida in 1980. After completing assignments for the U.S. Small Business Administration in New Jersey, he joined the Office of Robert E. Jagger, Public Defender for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, State of Florida in September, 1981.
Mr. Eble soon became a lead trial attorney defending indigent defendants accused of the most serious offenses in East Pasco County. During his service with the Public Defender, he represented thousands of citizens accused of criminal offenses ranging from misdemeanors to the most serious capital and life felonies. He was the lead or supervising counsel in more than one hundred jury trials including drug trafficking, sexual battery, attempted murder and more than a dozen men and women charged with First Degree Murder where the Death Penalty was sought by the State of Florida. He is one of a small number of attorneys who still regularly practices in Pasco County that can claim acquittals in multiple homicide cases.
In 1996, Mr. Eble opened Chane & Eble, P.A. with Laurie Ruth Chane. While he still spends the majority of his time defending adults and juveniles accused of criminal violations of State and Federal laws, he has expanded his practice to include selected serious personal injury cases, selected wrongful death cases, and all aspects of family law litigation.
Since 1993, Eble has been an Adjunct Professor at Saint Leo University teaching substantive and procedural criminal law to college students aspiring to become lawyers and law enforcement officers. In service to the legal community, Eble was a member of the Pasco County Bar Association for many years. Committed to supporting and participating in youth athletic programs, Eble coached baseball and softball youth teams at Dade City Little League, and coached and volunteered for the non-profit East Pasco Youth Soccer League, Inc.
